GAMING AND INTERACTIVE

UNREAL ENGINE
I received my certification in Mastery of Unreal Engine skills from Studio Arts. I learned how to use Unreal Engine 5 for world building, character animation, rig retargeting, camerawork, lighting, and VFX. This project was inspired by an image by Oleg Vdovenko.

DIGITAL PUPPETRY EXPLORATION - Blender 3D, Brekel Hands, TouchOSC
I’m experimenting with using motion capture and/or gamepad controls to manipulate 3d (or 2d) rigs in real-time.

MOBILE GAME CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT - Maya 3D
From a personal project using Maya and Unity3d to develop a game where you are a DARPA lab tech.

SYNCHRONOUS AUCITON PROTOTYPE - JELLYVISION, INC.
In the early aughts, Jellyvision Inc (who would later spin-off Jackbox Games) pitched a synchronous auction model to a large well-established internet auction website. I was tasked with mocking up how the UI might behave and responsible for everything on screen. This was done in Macromedia Flash and Actionscript 2.0.

PRIMETIME PITCH - JELLYVISION, INC.
Following the success of the You Don’t Know Jack franchise, Jellyvision continued creating original social games. Primetime Pitch was a virtual card game in which suits consisted of Plots, Twists, and Stars, playing a hand involved creating a TV show, and rounds were won by having the best scheduled programming. I was responsible for designing and animating UI elements and behaviors, as well as providing animation for the character vignettes. Graphics were created natively in Macromeuda Flash and ported to a proprietary in-house Flash/Java engine which handled gameplay logic and triggered runtime actions. Primetime Pitch was created for the online gaming site Pogo.
